Hanging it up

Pretty much done with BFBC. I don't have the patience to put up with all the crap it has in it atm and it is unplayable in my opinion. So unless a patch comes out, I don't think I will be playing this game anytime soon. I might pop in to play a few games with me5t3ry, fea12less,unfazed, and unstoppable every new moon or something. Also, KZ2 I might not be there for the release date because the way things are developing it looks like I might be a little busy around that time. But I'll still be active in the forums. It's a shame, I really like this game but I'm not gonna put up with this crap anymore.

welcome to the club i hung it up three weeks ago, i still love this game and now have the urge to go back just to pilot and nothing else. couldn't put up with the knife lag and shotgun bs, with how much this game ripped me off and didnt give in return i.e. 10 bs knifes that killed me to giving me 1 bs knife for a kill i just decided it wasn't worth the aggrevation anymore.

i also forgot to mention the heli's freezing on the two conquest map and no response by the developers to fix this is what really did this game in for me.
just to show the bs it gives i just played one game to reclaim my apache (i still got the skillz by the way if anyone needs a tutorial im more than willing to help, went 10/1 in the 6 minutes i played and the death was a celebration suicide at the end of the game lol) anyways the first message i get during my first attempt to connect in three weeks is failed to connect to ea online how pathetic .. it also put me in a room with vovo bad brasil *cough faggot cough* thank god he was on the other team cause within the first 5 seconds he tked trying to get the chopper whats even better is that he didn't even get it and got into a tk war with his team, ah the price of being an asshole all for a simple chopper.

fuck those goofy bad brasil fags. its official tk/kill all war with them atm.

yeah, I started doing the whole pilot thing because we really had no pilots on the GR squad (except for fea12less) of B2K. So I made an effort to add another element to our team, got tired of all the freezing too. I decided between fallout 3 and bfbc, I wasn't going to risk another hard restart and possibly fuck my console even more. Also, the lag is bullshit...I got tired of being put on one man squads...I got tired of the noobs and having to chase their ass and I got tired of being put on a team with noobs while the opposing team has more than 6 above average players. It made me a little bit better but like you said it is not worth the aggravation. If ea/dice fuck up on bfbc2 or mc3 then no more dice/ea games for me.

That sucks...but I feel ya. The knife lag is just pure bs. The freezing or disconnecting is ridiculous and the LAG!!!
some hours are just unplayable, which is sad cuz it is a good game...But yea pop in once in a while. I will stop playing as often too cuz Im going back to Uni next week


AND UnRelentless I wouldnt mind getting some flying lessons. I suck..literally and I want to get good. I just fly too slow, suck at aiming and turning...just plain horrible

BAH!. you could have asked me when you had the chance to pilot. to be honest, I would rather be a gunner, even in tanks.


I learned from watching other people fly. I got a lot out of icebergs montage, and even being unsuspekted's (leading your rockets) and fea12less' gunner (driving like tokyo drift, except drifting around trees)...I learned a few tricks from that.


So I suggest you guys get good at gunning. Try to keep the gun pointing towards the nose of the chopper. The way you know what direction the chopper is facing is just look at the radar. It is much more effective when taking out AA guns and tanks and even goldcrates.

I'm getting a little tired of the random glitches in this game as well. There are a lot of little ones. I mostly play Specialist, and when you're C4ing tanks you need to make some very quick switches between gun and C4, since so many operators jump out on the approach. I think it's the same glitch as the grenade no throw and rocket no launch. The other day I tagged a tank with C4 in whatever level has the harbor, hit the detonator, then had to turn away from the tank to kill the operator who jumped out, then turned back and was shocked to see the tank just fine, and it killed me. The C4 was on it still, the detonator didn't detonate. I did hit it, I got the high toned beep. That is some fucked up bullshit, in addition to the sliding C4 bullshit.

that sucks...sorry to hear that. Games IMO, haven't been as laggy as before nowadays. (This landed me a legit knife kill on Celtics ) Although there was one where me, Corrupted, Darling and prolly SilverBullet joined an UNPLAYABLE deconstruction game. Anyways, always up for squad when you are buddy, just hit me up

I dont think there is as much lad on Gold Rush. Some time yu just have to sign off and try again later (Also you know when theres going tobe lag because the microphones break up)

Any every had a lag match? If its really laggy just run straightup to however your trying to kill and fire a sniper riflewildly from the hip. You feel like your invincible and you manage to shoot them for no good reason. I hate doorways when theres lag, normally takes 3 attempts to not run into a wall. If your shots arnt beig becognised repeatedly hit fire or knife as it only takes one to register.

Was Squading with rmrider this morning and we got in and out of 5 games on conquest that had really bad lag.It seems tobe alot worse lately. I wouldnt be suprised if they had shut down some servers for bfbc. I think Im done playing crossing over and par for the course, the two main maps that freeze, also I think all the freezing from these maps was what caused bluray on my last ps3 to stop reading discs. But Chris is right Gold rush maps dont freeze much and have alot less leg for whatever reason.

If they remember I just abruptly left because it froze and I just decided it was too much of a coincidence that it always happens when I am doing really good or having a decent game it freezes. But that night I was lagging a bit in GR too. Not only that I kept being put on one man squads and I had to always start over from the back of the base, I never got any good attack positions so I kept having bad games. The weekend before that I ended it on a sour note too...so I just had enough.

LAG has been unberable lately...Even in GR. The last 5 days I havent been able to play 1 hour lag free. its ridiculous. Like today, Corrupted and I were jumping in and out of games to no avail. And the one game that we found was lag free, the other team had 1 person!!!
Just 10 more days until KZ2.

what are you talking about. i usually squad with u and corrupted and never had lag. some games yes but very little times. no lag on conquest,just freezes.

you always joined us when we got the lag free games. today has been impossible to play

Is BFBC2 confirmed? And what's the MC3 that Nemesis referred to?

from what i've heard bfbc2 is pretty much a lock to be made and mc3 is modern combat 3 but i haven't heard as much about that.
